Let’s face it, with the Remote Workforce now a reality for the long term at least here in the United States, the issues of Data Privacy are starting to take full swing now, all across the board. To some degree or another, most of us have heard about the GDPR, and the CCPA.
These are laws that have been set forth specifically in order to protect our Personal Identifiable Information (PII) datasets and gives us greater control over them as well.
But there is also yet another component to this that deals with the specifically with the Federal Government, especially with that of the Department of Defense (DoD). It is known as the “Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification”, or “CMMC” for short.
This is where all of the Defense Contractors that do work for the DoD need to be certified before they can do any further work or will be allowed to bid on any future projects.
However, this is still a very murky area, and there is a lot of confusion about the CMMC as a result. In today’s podcast, we get some clarity to those questions. We have the honor and the privilege of interviewing Tim Brennan (CEO) and Bernhard Bock (CISO) of a company known as SysArc.
